Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker

Overview
We are seeking a reliable Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker to join our team. This role involves delivering goods to customers, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring timely and safe transportation of products, Monday thru Friday 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. No weekends. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service, experience with warehouse equipment and the ability to obtain a valid chauffeurs license and medical card. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with delivery experience and a background in warehouse operations to work in a small local company environment.

Duties

• Safely operate pickup truck and stake bed delivery vehicles, to transport goods to local southwest Michigan locations.
• Load and unload products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
• Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Assist in warehouse organization, including moving inventory, stacking pallets, stocking shelves and maintaining cleanliness.
• Ability to do physical labor lifting 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after deliveries to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.

Experience

• Prior experience as a delivery driver is preferred, but not required, especially with box trucks or commercial vehicles.
• Warehouse experience involving the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to drive safely in various conditions, including route driving with heavy loads. Clean driving record.
• Familiarity with heavy lifting and moving items within a warehouse setting.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. This role requires a dedicated individual capable of managing physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving inventory while providing excellent service during route deliveries. Candidates should possess relevant driving experience, familiarity with warehouse equipment, and a commitment to safety standards.

Pay: From $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
