Lighthouse Search Advisors is proud to partner with a growing manufacturing and distribution company in search of an experienced Controller to lead core financial operations and drive strategic planning initiatives. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on financial leader who thrives in a dynamic environment—balancing day-to-day accounting accuracy with forward-looking financial strategy.

What You'll Do

As the Controller, you'll oversee all aspects of financial management—from transactional integrity to forecasting and long-range planning. You'll guide a dedicated team, optimize systems, and ensure strong collaboration across accounting, operations, and leadership teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the company's NetSuite ERP platform, ensuring data integrity, process optimization, and system enhancements that improve visibility across accounting, inventory, and operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team within accounting and inventory functions, fostering accountability and growth.
  • Develop, implement, and refine financial processes that drive efficiency and support business scalability.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making and financial planning.
  • Prepare and review accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze key financial metrics, identify trends, and provide insights to improve profitability and operational performance.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation.
  • Oversee tax preparation and ensure compliance with filing requirements and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and provide detailed documentation and support.
  • Strengthen internal controls and safeguard company assets through robust policies and procedures.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance reporting efficiency.

What You'll Bring

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience with direct reports.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A)—budgeting, forecasting, and strategic modeling.
  • Hands-on expertise with NetSuite ERP or a similar enterprise accounting system.
  • Strong command of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Proficiency with financial modeling, data analysis, and Excel (advanced level preferred).
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative leader with a mindset for continuous improvement.

Why Join

This is a chance to make a lasting impact in a growth-focused company that values precision, integrity, and forward thinking. You'll be empowered to shape both the financial strategy and operational infrastructure of a thriving manufacturing and distribution organization.
