Job Description/Job Summary:
The Development Director is a full-time position, reporting to KTLF Network General Manager. The Development Director is responsible for managing all areas of fundraising and marketing for KTLF. This includes donor development, Air Team membership, major gifts, new member acquisition, grant writing, listener/donor engagement, direct mail and email campaigns.
The KTLF Radio Network is a non-profit, non-commercial Christian radio ministry. Our ministry mission is to establish, encourage and equip believers in their daily walk with Jesus Christ.
Experience/Required Qualifications Knowledge/Skill/Ability
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of the ministry
Proficiency in Salesforce (Ninja level) MS Office Suite; Word, Outlook, Excel
Bachelor's degree in Communication or related degree desired, non-profit fundraising, philanthropy.
5-7 years of experience as a Development Director and fundraising experience for a non-profit, non-profit radio preferred.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
The ability to work independently, creatively, and collaboratively.
Exceptional organizational skills, including project management.
Equivalent Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Must have 5 – 7 years' experience in individual gifts and/or major gifts fundraising. Direct mail project management, writing, editing.
- Non-profit radio ministry fundraising experience preferred.
- Experience writing funding proposals for granting organizations preferred.
- Familiarity with and enthusiasm for the mission of radio ministry.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
- Manages the Salesforce donor database; updating donor records, establishing campaigns, pulling reports as requested by the GM,
- Plans and implements all aspects of on-air fund drives as directed by the General Manager and in collaboration with the Programming Director.
- Plans and implements all aspects of donor direct mail, including renewal, add-gift, acquisition, lapsed, and stewardship-related contact.
- Ensures that new members are appropriately nurtured and welcomed.
- Manages the monthly renewal/thanks processes for donors.
- Stewards mid-level donors to identify and encourage mid-level givers to deepen their investment in the KTLF radio ministry.
- Identifies potential and existing major donors, cultivates donors through building genuine and honest relationships, and crafts appropriate solicitations.
- Provides donors prompt updates about projects and immediate thanks for gifts.
- Nurtures major donor relationships, encouraging meaningful and transformational support for the network and experiences for the donor.

- Identifies potential granting opportunities, develops relationships with key grantors, and writes/manages grants.
- Collaborates with General Manager to create exciting, cohesive development and audience growth plans that meet the stations' growing needs.
- Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.

This is an on-site position.
