Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, motivated Dental Practice Coordinator to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate has a solid background in a dental office environment and excels in insurance verification, patient communication, treatment plan presentation, claims management, and administrative operations. This role plays a key part in keeping the practice running efficiently while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patient scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups to ensure a smooth and efficient daily workflow
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring full compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Handle billing, collections, insurance verification, and dental claim submissions, including denials and appeals
  • Present treatment plans and assist patients with understanding financial options
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations to maintain a professional, clean, and welcoming environment
  • Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and manage office correspondence
  • Work closely with dentists and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and high-quality care
  • Utilize Open Dental EHR software to manage patient and insurance information
  • Assist with staff scheduling, onboarding, and training of new team members as needed
  • Stay current with dental procedures, terminology, and insurance requirements to accurately support patients

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a dental office (required)
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, insurance verification, billing, and claims processing
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with financial management, collections, and reporting is a plus
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both patients and team members
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in healthcare

Pay: $ $26.00 per hour
