Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize our inventory processes across multiple channels, including warehouse distribution, e-commerce, and retail management. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced data analytics, demand planning, and supply chain expertise to ensure efficient materials management, order fulfillment, and procurement. This role requires a strong understanding of ERP systems such as SAP, AS400, and warehouse management systems, along with proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI. The Inventory Manager will play a critical role in process improvement initiatives and sourcing strategies to support business growth and operational excellence.
Duties
- Develop and implement demand planning strategies utilizing MRP systems to forecast inventory needs accurately.
- Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and vendor relationship management for 3PL providers and suppliers.
- Utilize data mining and analysis skills to monitor inventory levels, identify trends, and optimize stock levels across all channels.
- Oversee warehouse distribution operations ensuring efficient order fulfillment, materials management, and warehouse management system utilization.
- Conduct regular data collection and analysis to improve inventory accuracy, reduce excess stock, and streamline supply chain processes.
- Collaborate with merchandising teams to align inventory with sales forecasts and market trends.
- Use data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI to generate reports on inventory performance metrics for stakeholders.
- Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency through process automation or system upgrades.
- Coordinate with procurement teams on sourcing strategies to ensure timely replenishment of stock while minimizing costs.
- Supervise the use of equipment such as forklifts in warehouse operations while adhering to safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management or inventory control within retail or e-commerce environments.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with ERP systems including SAP, AS400, or equivalent warehouse management systems.
- Experience with demand planning software (MRP), procurement processes, and materials management.
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution logistics, 3PL coordination, and order fulfillment processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements through data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent negotiation skills for vendor sourcing and contract negotiations.
- Background in retail management or merchandising is a plus.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with teams involved in purchasing, logistics, sales, and IT systems integration.
