SUMMARY
The Security Supervisor ("Supervisor de Seguridad") is responsible for overseeing and executing daily security operations to ensure the safety and protection of all guests, staff, and property. This role requires leadership in maintaining a secure environment through effective supervision, training, and incident management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with guests, associates, and external partners.
- Lead by example by fostering teamwork, open communication, and positive role modeling among staff.
- Oversee daily security operations under the direction of the Director and Assistant Director of Security to protect guests, employees, and hotel assets.
- Ensure departmental staffing needs are met with qualified personnel; provide training, mentoring, coaching, counseling, and discipline to Security Officers.
- Ensure compliance with departmental operating budgets and internal policies.
- Conduct continuous patrols of interior and exterior property, addressing suspicious activity, guest needs, and safety concerns.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and serve as Security dispatcher using telephone, radio, and computer systems.
- Respond to all guest and employee incidents, complaints, and safety concerns, serving as the primary point of contact when required.
- Manage, investigate, and document incidents including accidents, injuries, criminal activity, room access issues, noise complaints, and potential liability or insurance matters.
- Coordinate with outside safety, emergency, and law enforcement agencies as needed.
- Act as Emergency Response Team (ERT) Lead during emergencies, including medical situations, fires, natural disasters, bomb threats, theft, disorderly conduct, and other critical incidents.
- Support and implement preventive safety and security programs, including emergency preparedness and injury prevention initiatives.
- Assist with workplace injury response and promote safety awareness to maintain a safe work environment.
- Control and maintain key and lock systems to ensure secure access throughout the property.
- Oversee parking lot operations, traffic control, and complete reports as required.
- Monitor and oversee specialized operations such as Sternwheelers boarding and de-boarding.
- Escort VIPs and assist guests with disabilities to ensure safety and comfort.
- Evict disruptive guests when necessary, in accordance with hotel policies and legal guidelines.
- Ensure effective internal communication systems, including mail and information flow within the department.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Security.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of security experience, ideally within a luxury hotel or resort environment. Prior supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Willingness and ability to work across all shifts with the capacity to respond immediately to any property-related emergencies.
- Professional appearance with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Strong time management abilities with the capacity to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in operating necessary computer systems; familiarity with Opera, Microsoft Office Suite, Assa Abloy, KeyWatcher, IR Safes, CCTV and HotSOS is an advantage.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments and communicate clearly with both colleagues and guests.
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
