Position Summary:
The Supervisor: Pre-Service / Financial Clearance oversees the day-to-day operations and activities of the Pre-Service areas. The Supervisor partners closely with the Director: Revenue Cycle to provide leadership coverage and presence in the Pre-Service area. This individual is responsible for:
- Ensuring the effective operations by providing direction and support to the Pre-Service team;
- Establishing clearly defined, optimal workflow requirements;
- Assisting the Director of Revenue Cycle with setting and implementing the strategic goals for the Pre-Service areas;
- Ensuring adoption and compliance with quality standards that minimize the institution's risk and enhance the patient experience;
- Preparing, analyzing and summarizing reports made available to the Director of Revenue Cycle regarding productivity and the quality of staff performance, with recommended strategies for operational improvement;
- Monitoring work quality, productivity metrics and providing remediation if needed;
- Training of new staff and assisting in the planning and development of Pre-Service training materials;
- Identifying areas for improvement and developing plans to improve the performance of these processes; and
- Serving as a primary resource to staff.
This position is customer service driven, and the Supervisor must have the ability to effectively promote positive customer service while working in a highly stressful and complex environment.

Qualifications- Base Compensation Range: $51, $79,601.60 annually, based on years of relevant experience. "Relevant experience" means relevant to the employee's responsibilities set forth in the job description as determined by the HR Manager, CAO, applicable department manager/director and applicable senior leader.

Successful completion of courses in computer and medical terminology.
Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years in prior authorization and utilization review experience is required.

Electronic health record (especially, Cerner) experience is strongly desired but not required.

Working knowledge of clinical guidelines, medical necessity guidelines related to pre – service certification.

Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access, data entry and spreadsheets.

Computer skills sufficient to utilize email, documents, spreadsheets and project management software.

Current AHA BLS (Heart Saver) certification is required.
