Position Summary:
The IT Support Specialist provides 1st and 2nd level technical support for end users at the Germany location. This role ensures smooth operation of IT systems, resolves incidents and service requests, and supports infrastructure projects. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to work in a global environment.
- Provide 1st and 2nd level IT support (onsite and remote) for end users.
- Accept, analyze, and resolve internal service requests and fault reports using the ticketing system.
- Support Windows OS, Microsoft 365, business applications, and peripherals.
- Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and documentation of IT hardware and software.
- Maintain accurate IT inventory and documentation.
- Escalate complex issues to internal IT teams and Enterprise IT of the parent company.
- Assist in company infrastructure projects and provide vacation coverage for the IT System Engineer.
- Administer basic network infrastructure (switches, access points, cabling, network cabinets).
- Manage and support mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) including MDM solutions.
- Provide support for telephony systems (VoIP phones, softphones) and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Support industrial devices (barcode scanners, handheld terminals, rugged devices) used in production and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and data protection standards.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in IT HelpDesk or Technical Support
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar)
- Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and guide users effectively
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Experience with hardware diagnostics and peripheral setup
- Knowledge of ITIL principles is a plus
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft are highly desirable
- Good understanding of security's best practices and data privacy principles
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions and telephony systems
- Familiarity with industrial devices and their connectivity requirements is a strong plus
