IT Development- Data Warehouse Developer II Job Specific Responsibilities
- Solution & Process Design & Support - Builds and maintains a solid understanding of CCI's environment and designs solutions and processes which combine disparate data into meaningful reporting and analysis. Provides support for solutions, monitors performance and communicates functional and technical issues.
Data Warehouse Design & Improvement - Designs and implements improvements to the data warehouse environment including automation using SQL Server SQLAgent.
Support of Team & Business Objectives - Works closely with business and Information Services (IS) project teams, using technology to help attain their business objectives.
Data Warehouse Maintenance & Development - Maintains operations of the data warehouse and actively participates in strategic projects within the data warehouse.
- QA Performs - QA on other team members' code, and participates in team code reviews or other strategies to improve code qualit
- Change Management - Follow change control procedures for any system modifications throughout the product lifecycle. This includes notification to business owners and coordination of resources to test after updates have been made.
Product and Service Research - Maintains current industry knowledge on trends and best practices and is able to apply such knowledge and practices to daily efforts. Is familiar or becomes familiar with healthcare IT initiatives and requirements outlined in current guidelines such as HIPAA and HITECH and keeps abreast of developments in IT healthcare requirements and goals. Knowledge of X12 837 and 278 standards.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
IT Development- Data Warehouse Developer II Experience Required
Two years of direct programming/analysis experience (or associate's degree with 3+years of direct programming/analysis experience), one year experience with a major reporting
package such as Crystal, SQL Reporting Services, Active Reports, Access Reporting, Extra Reports, Telerik Reports, or similar package, as well as experience with SQL server Visual programming required.Candidates in the process of completing and near completion of the degree requirement with one additional year of the specified experience may be considered.
Demonstrated working knowledge and intermediate skills in the following areas: ASP.Net version 2.0 or higher; SQL Server 2005/2008 (SQL Server Reporting Services a plus); VB.Net within .NET framework 2.0, 3.5, or 4.0; Transact SQL; Visual Studio 2005, 2008 and/or 2010; Report design and construction; VB.Net and/or C#; Object Oriented principles.
Preferred Experience - Project management experience and exposure to system design and development preferred.
IT Development- Data Warehouse Developer II Education - Degree/Diploma Obtained: Bachelors Program of Study: Computer Science or Closely related field required*.
Additional Requirements - *Five years of the specified experience substitutes for the degree. Candidates in the process of and near completion of the degree requirement with at required experience and at least one year of project management or an additional year of the specified experience may be considered.
