Hotel General Manager

The Cove Inn is a beloved, waterfront boutique hotel in the heart of Old Naples, featuring 102 individually owned rooms and suites overlooking Naples Bay—a favorite of return guests for more than 50 years. Our goal is to successfully compete in the highly competitive hotel market in upscale Old Naples, Florida market.

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to serve as the central leader of daily hotel operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, service-oriented, and skilled in managing both people and processes, ensuring guests enjoy a warm, seamless, and memorable stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring smooth functioning across front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
• Manage, support, schedule, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and professional work culture.
• Ensure an outstanding guest experience from reservation through checkout; handle guest issues with diplomacy and genuine hospitality.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, property presentation, and safety throughout the hotel.
• Coordinate with homeowners in the rental program, maintaining positive relationships and consistent room quality.
• Monitor occupancy, revenue performance, and daily/weekly financial reporting.
• Work with ownership/board on operational planning, improvements, and long-term goals.
• Engage in community relations and local tourism partnerships to strengthen the property's visibility and reputation.
• Experience with social media promotion and online presence management is a strong plus.
• Ability to speak Spanish is appreciated but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality management experience required (hotel, resort, boutique hospitality, or similar).
• Proven leadership and staff management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; calm, confident problem-solving approach.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accountability.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, guest-facing environment.
• Familiarity with hotel reservation/property management systems (or ability to learn quickly).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $105,000.00 per year
