Food Server

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Food Server to join our upscale dining team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service, exceptional customer service skills, and familiarity with fine dining standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant environment. Candidates should have prior restaurant experience, proficiency with POS systems, and a passion for hospitality excellence.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and resetting tables for new guests
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns professionally and courteously
• Process payments accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas in compliance with sanitation standards

Experience

• Proven experience as a Food Server in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
• Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/host or bartender is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability in upselling, sales techniques, and guest relations
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
• Experience working in the food industry with a focus on customer service excellence
