Pit Crew Member

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Pit Crew Member to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting food service operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficient service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting. Previous experience in food preparation, cashiering, or restaurant operations is a plus. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop valuable skills in food handling, sales, and hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and assembly of menu items according to company standards
• Operate POS systems such as Spark POS for order processing and cash handling
• Provide friendly customer service, taking orders, and addressing customer inquiries
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and cleaning kitchen equipment
• Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times
• Support inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Assist with basic food handling duties in accordance with health regulations
• Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues during busy periods

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast food restaurant is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Spark POS is a plus
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays if needed
• Prior experience in cashiering, serving, or retail math is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $ $19.00 per hour
