Über
As Director Yield & Cross-Trade Optimization, you will assume a key position within Hapag-Lloyd's Central Yield Management and take responsibility for the strategic direction of our global yield optimization. In this challenging leadership role, you will develop innovative approaches to revenue maximization and create the foundation for sustainable business success through your visionary leadership. You will work in a dynamic, international environment and have the opportunity to directly influence company results through your expertise and strategic thinking. You will benefit from collaboration with highly qualified professionals and support from state-of-the-art analytical tools.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of professionals consisting of Yield Optimization Managers and Yield Performance Managers
- Develop and implement the company-wide yield optimization strategy in alignment with Trade Management objectives
- Manage cross-functional yield improvement initiatives and prioritize based on business impact
- Oversee cross-trade optimization, particularly for space negotiations
- Ensure transparency and consistency in yield reporting, analytics, and steering processes
- Drive digitalization and continuous improvement of yield performance management
- Promote best practice sharing and capability building in yield management across trades
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize overall returns
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline; postgraduate degree preferred
- Extensive leadership experience with proven track record in developing managers and specialists
- Multi-year expertise in performance management, revenue management, or trade management, ideally in shipping, logistics, or related industries
- Strong analytical thinking and experience working with large datasets and performance management tools
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and relationship building across all organizational levels
- Assertive personality with ability to challenge the status quo and drive change with persistence
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset
- Strong communication skills and target-oriented mindset for collaboration in international teams
