Activities Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities for residents in a nursing home setting.
- Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and staff members to ensure a positive and inclusive environment.
- Assist in organizing and managing the activity schedule to ensure a variety of options for residents.
- Collaborate with the recreational therapy team to develop and implement programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Provide compassionate care and support to residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Assist in coordinating special events and outings for residents.

Requirements:
- Experience working with seniors is highly desirable.

• Previous experience in social work, caregiving, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members.
• Understanding of dementia care principles and techniques is a plus.
• Ability to manage schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
