HVAC Technician

On Point Maintenance, part of the Riva Ridge Family of Companies, is hiring a HVAC Technician Our technicians are essential in maintaining and servicing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across residential and commercial properties. We're seeking hands-on professionals who are detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to providing top-tier service. Ideal candidates will have experience with HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and installations.

Key Responsibilities

1. HVAC Maintenance and Repair:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to maximize system efficiency and longevity.
- Respond promptly to service calls and ensure timely resolutions.

2. Installation and Replacement:
- Install new HVAC equipment and systems according to specifications and safety codes.
- Replace or upgrade existing systems and components as needed.
- Work closely with the Mechanical Manager to plan and coordinate HVAC installations.

3. System Evaluation and Testing:
- Conduct system performance tests and airflow measurements.
- Identify potential issues before they lead to equipment failure.
- Ensure all systems meet building codes and energy standards.

4. General Maintenance Support:
- Assist with minor electrical and plumbing work related to HVAC system connections.
- Maintain accurate records of service and repairs.
- Collaborate with maintenance and renovation teams as needed on broader property upkeep.

5. Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proven experience in HVAC service, repair, and installation (certification preferred).
- Knowledge of local HVAC codes, EPA regulations, and safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional approach to tenant interactions.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
- Willingness to adapt to emergency calls, variable weather, and changing job sites.
