Position Overview

TReactforce is seeking a highly experienced
Senior Network Engineer
to support client engagements involving the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable network environments. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer interested in part-time work or consulting, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role as the organization grows.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support enterprise and mid-market network infrastructures, including routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless solutions
• Lead network architecture and modernization efforts across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments
• Implement and optimize advanced network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, and zero trust principles
• Serve as a senior escalation resource for complex network issues and critical incidents
• Perform network assessments, audits, and remediation planning
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and systems teams on integrated client solutions
• Participate in client meetings, providing technical leadership and strategic recommendations
• Produce clear technical documentation, network diagrams, and implementation standards

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise, MSP, or consulting environments
• Deep expertise in routing, switching, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and wireless architectures
• Strong experience with next-generation firewalls and VPN technologies
• Proven ability to independently lead complex, multi-site network projects
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or similar)
• Experience with vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Meraki, Aruba, or similar
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and client-facing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications (CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, etc.)
• Prior consulting or professional services experience
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
