Line cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
• Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality of all dishes.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours.
• Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.

Experience

• Previous experience in food preparation or line cooking within the restaurant or food service industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and knife skills is essential.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen environment.
