Hostess and Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Part-time Host and Cashier to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our guests while efficiently managing the front-of-house operations. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable from the moment they arrive. You will also handle cashier responsibilities, accurately processing transactions with professionalism and a positive attitude. Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service from arrival to departure
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times
• Handle all cashier duties accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including processing payments and issuing receipts
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and ensure all guest areas are welcoming and presentable
• Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about the menu, reservations, or general questions with clear communication skills
• Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to ensure a positive experience
• Support team members in maintaining smooth restaurant operations during busy periods

Skills

• Previous host/host experience in a food service or restaurant setting is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and warmly with diverse guests
• Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservation management and guest seating procedures
• Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to handle inquiries professionally
• Hospitality background or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in guest services roles
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
