Veterinary Assistant

Responsibilities include but are not limited to vigilant attention to animal safety; sanitizing kennel areas; mopping patient urine "spills;" picking up poop; maintaining cleanliness of the hospital; sanitizing work areas; running hospital laundry; folding bedding and towels; restocking exam rooms; mopping and vacuuming.

Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train if you demonstrate the integrity, work ethic, and personality that our team is looking for in a colleague. Bilingual is a plus. Also, you must be: 18 years of age; able to lift 40lbs; move with efficiency and care throughout the hospital in the presence of animals; and available to work a variety of shifts including Saturdays and an occasional Sunday as needed.

Please note: Training may take up to 6-8 weeks. Attendance throughout your first 90 days of employment and especially during your training period is essential to your success at Arlington Dog & Cat Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant.
