Hotel Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

Maintenance assures that the building, equipment, and grounds of the hotel are maintained in a safe, economical, efficient, and attractive fashion, consistent with hotel policies and procedures. He or she must have a working knowledge of all maintenance functions including but not limited to HVAC, Mechanical/Electrical, Plumbing, and basic construction. Ensures implementation of all maintenance programs. Ensures that quality maintenance services, which meet guest needs and enhance safety, are rendered by department and outside contractors. The key to excellent performance in this position is organization and the ability to manage several projects at one time. Knowledge of safety and security issues is a must.

What are we looking for?

• High School diploma or higher-level education.
• Technical training in mechanical and electrical fields; experience in maintenance of refrigeration, heating and cooling, carpentry, and plumbing. On-the-job training may substitute for educational/vocational training requirements.
• Requires ability to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Requires ability to perform light to heavy physical labor including lifting, bending, climbing (ladders), reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling.
• Requires ability to lift 75+ pounds frequently.
• Requires ability to communicate both orally and in writing to guests and members of the maintenance/hotel staff.
• Requires ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
• Requires working inside and outside, protected from weather conditions but may require outside work up to 50% of shift, e.g. grounds maintenance, parking lot maintenance/repair.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $21.00 per hour
