Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner will play a key role in delivering personalized hormone therapy and wellness solutions to our clients. This position involves performing comprehensive assessments, developing tailored treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress to achieve optimal health outcomes. The ideal candidate will combine clinical expertise with a passion for patient centered care in a Med spa setting. As part of a collaborative team, the Nurse Practitioner will ensure safe, effective, and professional services that align within the med spas mission to enhance client wellness and vitality. The Nurse Practitioner may focus on health promotion and disease prevention may order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work. May prescribe medication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions of the Nurse Practitioner job include, but are not limited to the following:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and lab result interpretations.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized hormone therapy treatment plans.
Educate clients on hormone therapy, wellness strategies, and health related benefits along with pre and postop care expectations.
Perform routine follow-ups to monitor progress, adjust treatments, and ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with the Medical Director and other team members to deliver safe effective care following all protocols in place.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation and compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.
Stay updated on the latest research, trends, techniques, hormone therapy and wellness.
Support other Med spa services as needed such as aesthetics or wellness consultations.
Educate patients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' individual circumstances.
Schedule follow-ups visit to monitor patients or overall health or illness care and progress with hormone therapy.
Counsel patients about drug regimen and possible side effects or interactions with other substances such as food supplements over the counter medications or herbal remedies.
Order, perform, or interpret results of diagnostic tests such as complete blood counts, electrocardiograms, and radiographs as needed.
Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnosis.
Diagnose or treat complex, unstable, comorbid, episodic, or emergency conditions in collaboration with other healthcare providers as necessary.
Consult with, or refer patients to, appropriate specialist when conditions exceed the scope of practice or expertise.
Develop treatment plans, based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
Perform primary care procedures such as suturing, administering peptides, IV therapy and pellet insertions.
Prescribe medications based on efficacy, safety, and cost as legally authorized.
Provide patients with information needed to promote health, reduce risk factors, or prevent disease or disability.
Recommend diagnostic or therapeutic interventions with attention to safety, costs, invasiveness, simplicity, acceptability, adherence, and efficacy.
Recommend interventions to modify behavior associated with health risk.
Prescribe medication dosages, routes, and frequencies, based on such patient characteristics as age and gender.
Maintain complete and detailed records of patient's healthcare plans and prognosis within hormone therapy.
Read current literature, attend educational webinars, participate in professional organizations or conferences, and keep up to date of developments in nursing field.
Maintain current knowledge of state regulations for Nurse Practitioner practice.
Supervise or coordinate patient care while on hormone replacement therapy.
Assisting with anything that needs to be done in the clinical setting. This may include assisting with IV Therapy, vitamin injections, weight loss injections and consultations.
Be familiar with the skin care products sold at Modern Med. Educate clients about Medical Grade skincare that best suits their needs.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings as required.
Adherence to all modern Med clinic policies, procedures, and protocols.
Preferred: BIOTE Trained in Hormone Replacement Therapy
Pay: $ $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 30.0 per week
