Senior Project Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager with a strong background in cloud migration projects and banking software testing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex migration initiatives within the financial services industry and a deep understanding of the critical role testing plays in ensuring the smooth transition of banking systems. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining high standards for quality and compliance.

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all phases of the migration process, including the development and execution of test strategies to ensure that cloud migration is completed successfully. Your ability to manage stakeholder expectations, mitigate risks, and foster collaboration between teams will be essential for the success of the projects you oversee.

This position is hybrid, within Eastern Time Zone hours. Preferred location is within driving distance of Media, PA for occasional on-site events and business meetings.

• Project Planning & Execution:

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensure alignment with business goals

• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk assessments, and cost estimates
• Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, and any issues that may affect project timelines or scope.
• Identify potential project risks and issues, proactively creating mitigation plans and ensuring timely resolution.

• Manage and escalate issues to senior management as necessary, while ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and quality.

• Testing Strategy & Execution:

• Oversee the design, implementation, and execution of comprehensive testing strategies for banking software migration, ensuring full coverage of functional, performance, and security testing.

• Collaborate with testing teams to develop test plans, test cases, and user acceptance criteria based on business requirements and system specifications.
• Ensure thorough testing is performed across all environments (UAT, QA, production) with a focus on ensuring zero-impact to business operations during the transition.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in project management with a focus on cloud migration projects in the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong testing background with expertise in banking software testing, including test planning, execution, and defect management.Knowledge of core banking systems, financial applications, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record of managing complex migration projects from inception to completion, with a focus on risk management and issue resolution.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Jira, Sharepoint, and other project management or testing tools is a plus

Desired Qualifications:

• PMP, Prince2, or similar project management certification.Experience with data migration, system integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) in a banking context.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards as they apply to software migrations in banking

Preferred:

• Prior experience working within the banking or financial services industry.
• Certifications such as PMP, Prosci (Change Management), or cloud platform certifications.
