We are a local Mental Health & Chemical Dependency facility that pride ourselves on providing the most engaged and caring staff. We work diligently to maintain a cohesive team of likeminded, passionate individuals who provide evidence-based, trauma informed care. As a BHT you will be working with and supporting our clients in their journey to recovery from substances or mental health issues. Behavioral Health Technicians will supervise and observe clients as they undergo treatment and help create reports which will inform treatment planning. BHT's will also provide transportation to outside appointments, meetings, activities, and picking up or dropping off clients with coordinated facilities. Individuals in recovery from substance abuse or other mental health disorders who have made stable, positive changes in their lives are welcome to apply Must be able to obtain level one fingerprint clearance card.

Our compassionate team is made up of therapists experienced in treating trauma, mental health, and addiction. We also have medical and dietary professionals on staff to offer the full spectrum of holistic care. The care we provide is one-to-one and integrative. All our therapists are trained in trauma care, and we keep our program intentionally small to serve every client on an individual level.
Description- Provide supervision and support to patients at the residential treatment center.
- Complete intake processes with new clients.
- Perform property searches for agency-defined contraband.
- Driving clients to appointments, meetings, activities
- Support clients in daily struggles and emotional highs and lows
- Reporting daily interactions (computer literate)
- Responsible for the daily upkeep and ensuring standards of safety and cleanliness
- Familiar with programs used in the support of addiction recovery (12 step, celebrate, refugee, smart, etc.)
- Open minded, compassionate, professional in appearance and interactions
- Comfortable with safely de-escalating sudden and intense behavior from clients.
- Collaborate with multidimensional treatment team including nursing, medical and clinical effectively
- Adhere to agency standards regarding professional boundaries.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Adhere to established standards of hygiene and universal infection control procedures in handling all samples and supplies.

Minimum Skill Qualification:
- Ability to provide documentation and reports to clinical staff when required and necessary.
- Understanding of standard precautions and hygiene.
- Understand client/patient/resident rights.
- Recognize obvious symptoms of a mental disorder, personality disorder, or substance abuse.
- Be able to recognize and respect cultural differences.
- Understanding how to use computers, email, electronic health records (ZENCHARTS).
- Demonstrate ethical behavior by respecting staff members, client boundaries.
Minimum Qualification:
- High school diploma or GED with 6 months behavioral health experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- 21 and older.
Previous experience in sub-acute or residential mental health or chemical dependency treatment preferred.
