Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience or a strong interest in Early Intervention (EI) to join our growing team. As an SLP-EI, you will be working with children and their families to improve speech, language, and communication skills in home and community settings. You will play a vital role in supporting early childhood development and helping children reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of speech and language development in children aged 0-3.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results.
  • Provide direct therapy services to children in their natural environment (home, daycare, or community settings).
  • Collaborate with families to develop strategies and tools for supporting communication and language development.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including other therapists, teachers, and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and progress notes.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with community agencies as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with current best practices and research in pediatric speech therapy and Early Intervention services.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • NYS licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Early Intervention services and working with children 0-3 years old is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for working with young children and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Reliable transportation for home visits within the NYC area.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish, Mandarin, etc.) a plus.
