Banquet Captain/Server

Job Summary:

The Banquet Captain/Server is a key member of our banquet team responsible for coordinating and supervising all aspects of banquet service during events, ensuring seamless execution, and exceeding guest expectations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system.
• Provide menu recommendations and upsell items to enhance guest experience.
• Ensure food safety standards are met while serving food and beverages.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables and kitchen stations.
• Assist in resolving guest concerns or complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the establishment.

• Event Coordination: Collaborate with the Sales & Catering Manager & Kitchen Manager to plan and execute all banquet events.

Attend weekly BEO meetings. Ensure banquet rooms are set up according to event specifications. Oversee table settings, decorations, and equipment setup. Coordinate with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure prompt and efficient service.

• Staff Supervision: Lead and direct banquet staff during events.

Assign duties to servers, bussers, and other staff members. Train and coach staff to maintain high service standards. Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.

• Guest Satisfaction: Interact with clients and guests to ensure their needs and preferences are met.

Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Address and resolve any service issues promptly and effectively.

• Quality Control: Conduct pre-event checks to ensure all arrangements are in order.

Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet areas .Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Administrative Tasks :Maintain accurate records of event details, including attendance and special requests.

Assist with inventory management and ordering of banquet supplies. Prepare post-event reports and provide feedback for improvements.
Qualifications:

• Previous experience in banquet service, with at least 1 years in a supervisory or captain role.
• Strong knowledge of banquet and event operations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Food handler's certification and alcohol service training (if applicable).
• Physical stamina to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $12.50 per hour
