Project Engineer

Job Title: Project Engineer (EI or PE) – Civil/Land Development

Location: Central Florida (In-Person)
Pay Range: $70,000 - $95,000 (based on experience)

Responsibilities

Working with and under the supervision of a Senior Professional Engineer, you will:

• Produce complete civil site design plans, including grading, utilities, stormwater systems, and roadway layouts.
• Prepare engineering calculations for stormwater modeling, utility design, earthwork, drainage, water/wastewater, and erosion control.
• Develop and manage permitting packages for local governments and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, surveyors, and agency reviewers.
• Assist with cost estimating, construction support, and responding to review comments.
• Contribute to project scheduling, task management, and quality control.
• Support strong client relationships through reliable, accurate project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• EI certification required; PE preferred but not required.
• 2–5 years of civil land development engineering experience.
• Working knowledge in AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design. Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Experience with stormwater modeling tools (ICPR/Stormwise, BMPTrains, and WaterCAD).
• Working knowledge of Florida's permitting processes and design standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience preparing full land development plan sets.
• Strong technical writing ability (reports, calculations, narratives).
• Experience coordinating with reviewing agencies.
• Other relevant technical certifications (CFM, SQuInT, etc.)
