We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Transcribe physician-patient interactions accurately and promptly during medical examinations and consultations.
- Document detailed patient histories, physical exams, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions in EMR/EHR systems.
- Assist healthcare providers by managing and updating medical records to ensure completeness and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to ensure clarity and consistency in documentation.
- Support physicians in maintaining organized and accessible medical documentation for ongoing patient care.
- Review and verify the accuracy of clinical documentation, making necessary corrections or clarifications as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Adapt to various clinical settings, including emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, or specialty practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in transcription and typing with high accuracy and speed.
- Experience working within medical office environments or healthcare settings preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and disease processes.
- Ability to understand complex medical documentation and translate spoken information into precise written records.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure comprehensive documentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced clinical environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care centers.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and staff.
