Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing mechanical systems and components using advanced CAD tools and engineering principles. This role involves collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet industry standards and client specifications. A strong background in mechanical engineering, system design, and manufacturing processes is essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and develop mechanical components and systems utilizing CAD software such as SolidWorks.
  • Create detailed schematics, technical drawings, and drafting documentation aligned with GD&T principles and ASME codes & standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot design issues and improve product performance.
  • Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation using tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and LabVIEW to validate designs under various conditions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production, including CNC machining and other fabrication methods.
  • Apply principles of quantum engineering where applicable to innovative projects.
  • Maintain project schedules, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of design milestones.
  • Support system design efforts by integrating mechanical knowledge with electrical and software components for comprehensive solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, and drafting standards.
  • Experience with FEA tools like MATLAB, Simulink, or similar simulation platforms.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, schematics development, and system integration.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes & standards relevant to mechanical design.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and project scheduling effectively.
  • Knowledge of quantum engineering concepts is advantageous but not mandatory. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects within a dynamic engineering environment dedicated to innovation and excellence in mechanical design.

Pay: $60, $120,000.00 per year
