Job Summary:
Our bustling Houston, Texas logistics center is looking for a diligent Inventory Control Specialist. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, maintaining accurate records, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory management processes. A meticulous approach and strong analytical skills are essential for success in this position. You will work closely with warehouse operations teams to identify root causes of inventory issues and implement corrective actions. Ensuring a safe work environment is a top priority; adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is expected. While this role may involve some physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs, the primary focus is on data accuracy and process improvement within our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.

  • Implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper stock rotation and storage.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards.
  • Use appropriate PPE when necessary.
  • Assist in training new staff on inventory procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
