We are seeking dedicated Distribution Center Associates to join our state-of-the-art facility in Chicago, Illinois. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will play a vital role in the efficient flow of goods, contributing to our complex logistics network. This position involves a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments.
- Pick and pack orders according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Stock and organize inventory within the distribution center, ensuring proper placement and labeling.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as trained and certified.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company policies and logistics best practices.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Perform tasks that involve moderate to heavy Lifting of products, up to 50 lbs.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and contribute to overall efficiency.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate various warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring sustained effort, including frequent Lifting.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
