Our growing distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana is looking for an experienced Warehouse Coordinator. The Warehouse Coordinator will play a key role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. This position requires strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing warehouse activities, from receiving to dispatch. Your expertise in logistics and inventory management will be vital to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse operational strategies and procedures.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Ensure the safe operation of the warehouse, enforcing all safety regulations and protocols.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Train and manage warehouse staff, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Implement and maintain required PPE standards for all staff.
- Manage receiving and dispatch processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Responsible for tasks involving significant Lifting and physical exertion.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Maintain clear communication channels with all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory and supply chain logistics.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and requirements for PPE.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
