Join our growing logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Jacksonville, Florida! This vital role ensures the seamless flow of goods into and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for managing incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and preparing outgoing shipments for delivery. Accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety are essential for success in this position. You'll work closely with carriers, internal teams, and various systems to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely dispatch. - Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Process and document all incoming and outgoing freight using warehouse management systems.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Load trucks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits and checks.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, to ensure a secure work environment.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with warehouse management software and scanning equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and using PPE.
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
