Our San Jose, California facility is looking for a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse stock. This critical role ensures that our inventory records are precise, enabling efficient operations and minimizing discrepancies. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory variances, and implementing strategies to improve overall inventory accuracy. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure seamless inventory flow. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS). You will be expected to enforce adherence to safety protocols, including the correct usage of PPE, and ensure all inventory-related activities are conducted in a safe manner. This role involves some lifting and requires a commitment to maintaining an orderly and safe work environment. We are looking for a proactive individual who can identify potential issues and implement corrective actions. Your contribution to our logistics operations is vital for maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include: Performing cycle counts and physical inventories. Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies. Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and root causes of variances. Maintaining accurate inventory records in the WMS. Monitoring stock levels and reporting on potential shortages or overages. Developing and implementing inventory control procedures. Training other warehouse staff on inventory best practices. Ensuring the proper storage and organization of inventory. Contributing to a safe and efficient logistics environment. Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is highly desirable.
