We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our Phoenix, Arizona logistics center. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of inventory records.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain the warehouse inventory system, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve efficiency and reduce losses.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points, coordinating with purchasing departments to ensure adequate stock.
- Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure proper product identification and location assignment.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend improvements to logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper handling of materials and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Train and guide warehouse staff on proper inventory handling procedures and system usage.
- Manage tasks that may involve lifting and moving inventory items, ensuring safe practices are followed.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management is required. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary. Candidates must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and a thorough understanding of logistics principles. Experience with auditing, data analysis, and process improvement is highly desirable. The ability to effectively communicate and train others is crucial.
