We are looking for an efficient and reliable Order Picker to join our logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our supply chain operations, ensuring that orders are processed accurately and shipped in a timely manner. You will use technology such as RF scanners to locate and confirm items, ensuring inventory accuracy. The job requires you to be active, moving throughout the warehouse, and performing tasks that involve lifting and manual dexterity. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order sheets or scanner prompts.
- Verify product details and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Operate RF scanners and other warehouse equipment efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and items are stored properly.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Work effectively with other team members to meet daily picking goals.
- Understand and follow all logistics operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, and occasional climbing for extended periods.
- Must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are required.
- Understanding of safety regulations within a logistics environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime if needed.
