Are you looking for a dynamic role in Orlando, Florida? We are hiring a Picker/Packer to join our dedicated warehouse team. In this position, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This involves navigating the warehouse, locating items, and ensuring that the correct products are selected. You will then meticulously pack these items, ensuring they are protected for transit. Efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail are paramount in this role. We emphasize a culture of safety, providing all necessary PPE and ensuring adherence to safe lifting practices and warehouse logistics standards.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify product information and quantities before packing.
- Carefully and efficiently pack items into appropriate shipping containers.
- Ensure all packages are correctly labeled and ready for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and orderly packing station and work area.
- Assist in receiving and stocking incoming inventory as needed.
- Perform regular inventory checks to maintain stock accuracy.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Meet or exceed picking and packing performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in basic math for order verification.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and fulfillment processes.
- Ability to lift and move products up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
