Job Summary:
Our Durham, North Carolina facility is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse stock. This role is critical to ensuring that we have the right products in the right quantities at the right time. You will be responsible for implementing and enforcing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining accurate inventory records within our system. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse logistics. We are committed to providing a safe and efficient working environment for all employees, including providing necessary PPE.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control within the warehouse.
  • Develop, implement, and refine inventory management procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using our warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and other departments to resolve inventory issues.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items to prevent damage or loss.
  • Monitor stock levels and advise on reorder points and safety stock.
  • Train and guide other team members on inventory control best practices.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, including the correct use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of general logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Experience with lifting and moving inventory items may be required.
  • Commitment to safety and proper PPE usage.
