Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our facility in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. This includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that all systems meet Safety and performance standards. The Warehouse Technician is critical to minimizing downtime and optimizing workflow within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with warehouse machinery, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your expertise will ensure our operations run smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse facility to ensure compliance with Safety standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Operate and test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
  • Ensure that all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available and used correctly by staff.
  • Assist in the implementation of new equipment and process improvements.
  • Follow all Safety guidelines and protocols diligently.
  • Support the logistics team by ensuring equipment is operational and ready for use.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Mechanic, or similar role in a warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and Safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Experience with automated warehouse systems is a plus.
  • Capability to perform moderate physical tasks, including some Lifting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
