We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics hub in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is fundamental to our operations, involving the safe and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. You will operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and assist in order fulfillment. A strong commitment to safety, adherence to operational procedures, and a keen eye for detail are essential. The ideal candidate will possess valid forklift certification and a proven track record in a similar role. You will be responsible for performing daily equipment checks and maintaining a clean and organized work area. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all team members to utilize appropriate PPE and follow all safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport goods to and from designated warehouse areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations.
- Demonstrate safe lifting techniques when handling items that cannot be forklifted.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Forklift Operator. Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA). Familiarity with warehouse safety standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes. Strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting and manual dexterity. Proven reliability and punctuality.
