Seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our Madison, Wisconsin facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inventory records, and implementing strategies to minimize stock loss. This position is vital to our Logistics operations, ensuring we have the right products available at the right time. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to maintain optimal inventory levels and improve overall operational efficiency. A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of inventory management principles are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to forecast demand.
- Ensure compliance with Safety standards and proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related field.
- Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including occasional Lifting.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures.
This role is critical for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our Logistics chain and upholding rigorous Safety standards.
