An exciting opportunity to work in an expanding office with a team of young and energetic physicians. Our practice has been expanding rapidly and we are now looking for a Medical assistants to join our team

Administrative duties:

  • Greet patients in a courteous, respectful and timely manner
  • Answering phone calls (must have superior phone skills)
  • Verifying patient eligibility and insurances
  • Check in/check out patients, collect co-payments
  • Requesting authorizations and referrals from insurance
  • Schedule, reschedule, cancel appointments
  • Complete medical records requests
  • Scanning, reviewing faxes
  • Perform support functions as needed. This may include, but is not limited to entering patient data into the registration system, greeting patients, escorting patients to exam room, assisting patients and/or families in completing appropriate paperwork.

Clinical duties:

  • Appropriately prepare exam rooms for patient visit
  • Assist with procedures such as pulmonary function tests and six minute walk test
  • Interview patients for the purpose of gathering health history and current medications
  • Take and document vital signs. This may include, but is not limited to: patients height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure manually but not limited to use of device.
  • Assist with inventory organization and stocking of exam rooms and labs.
  • Administer injections
  • Submit authorizations to insurance
  • Chart preparation for assigned clinic day
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

BILINGUAL SPANISH SPEAKER IS A MUST

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
