Supply Chain Specialist
Reports To: VP Supply Chain
Location: Boston Corporate Headquarters (Hybrid)
The Supply Chain Specialist will assist with all aspects of the supply chain, from sourcing and procurement, analytics, process improvement, inventory management, and field support. Expertise and attention to details will contribute to optimizing supply chain operations, improving cost efficiency, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for hospitality, flourishes in a fast-paced, multifaceted position— and who is excited to join a growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Purchasing & Supplier Management
- Manage inventory to identify gaps and ensure issues resolution
- Ensure order guides are updated to reflect current state
- Source products, specifications, and pricing quotes
- Assist with onboarding new suppliers and products
- Coordinate core menu changes and LTO launches
- Manage relationships with key suppliers and supply chain stakeholders
2. Product & Cost Analysis
- Support team with product analytics for sourcing, and quality improvements
- Analyze costs and purchasing trends for COGS optimization
- Oversee price audits process for accuracy and resolution
- Analyze and track supply chain savings initiatives
3. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain purchasing and inventory records
- Managing supply chain databases for suppliers, specifications, and agreements
- Track supplier pricing trends, pricing, credits and KPI's
4. Field Support
- Support operations with all supply chain related requests
- Track product quality issues and communicate with suppliers' corrective actions
- Support implementation of Food & Bev projects
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas; macros a plus)
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of purchasing, supply chain, and distribution processes
- Excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Strong communications and active listening skills
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mutual respect and business goals in mind
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Adaptability to new situations, shifting priorities, and business needs while maintaining positive attitude
- 2+ years' experience in purchasing, distribution, or supply chain
