Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating a variety of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision in all operations. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to operate equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and maintainers. Candidates with mechanical knowledge and commercial driving experience are highly preferred.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers , loaders, backhoes, maintainers, cranes, and other machinery
• Manage construction site tasks such as earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling with precision and safety
• Operate specialized vehicles including dump trucks
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and site activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as maintainers, excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and similar machinery
• Construction site experience is essential
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for operating large vehicles like dump trucks or tanker trucks
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adhere to safety standards
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
• Relevant certifications or training in heavy equipment operation are a plus
