At Corner Canyon, we are dedicated to creating an individualized treatment plan that focuses on the clients physical, mental & spiritual needs. Our team of licensed mental health professionals work collaboratively to prioritize the emotional well-being of the client while incorporating clinically sophisticated psychiatric and medical care.
Corner Canyon is searching for a contracted Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner licensed in the State of Utah to provide psychiatric care for clients in our Residential, Day Treatment, and Intensive Outpatient programs.
Duties
- Assess and treat patients with a wide variety of behavioral health issues.
- Patient evaluations: incorporate clinical history, psychological testing, ID genetic tests and findings into an integrative treatment plan and produce a final report (using EHR).
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical/psych history.
- Follow up appointments/med management appointments completed on a weekly basis or PRN basis for all clients in Residential Treatment, Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
- Attend weekly Medical and Treatment Team meetings.
- Serve as primary advisor to the executive, case management and clinical management teams regarding health and safety issues.
- Coordinate with Chefs for nutritional integration of treatment.
- Participate as a cooperative, responsive, respectful and responsible member of the agency's clinical management team and other work-related committees.
- Manage and supervise Rx medications and supplements being prescribed.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as indicated.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Must have valid licensure through Utah's Department of Occupational & Professional Licensing (DOPL).
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and interventions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with clients and work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries, demonstrate empathy, and provide non-judgmental support to clients
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and proficiency in documenting client interactions
- Clinical experience in areas such as behavioral health, urgent care, emergency medicine, or internal medicine is a plus
- Strong skills in patient management including case management, discharge planning, health coaching, and utilization review is a plus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $ $110.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 25 per week
