Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and driven Geotechnical Engineer to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in geotechnical engineering principles, site characterization, and design for both vertical and horizontal construction applications. This includes foundations, retaining walls, pavements, roadways, bridges, embankments, and ground improvement systems.

This role is essential in developing scopes of work for geotechnical studies, preparing detailed engineering reports, managing field exploration programs, and supporting Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Geotechnical operations across multiple project types.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical field investigations, including drilling programs, soil sampling, laboratory testing, and related field activities.
• Evaluate subsurface information and prepare thorough geotechnical engineering reports with recommendations for foundations, slope stability, pavement systems, and earth-retaining structures.
• Review construction plans, geotechnical data, and specifications to ensure adherence to project requirements and engineering standards.
• Assist in preparing RFQs, SOQs, technical proposals, and scopes of work for geotechnical and CMT projects.
• Coordinate with drilling crews, field technicians, laboratory staff, and project managers to maintain quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of geotechnical services.
• Provide expert technical guidance to internal teams and clients related to soil behavior, foundation solutions, ground modification, and construction challenges.
• Ensure all geotechnical work complies with applicable codes, safety requirements, and industry best practices.
• Utilize geotechnical engineering software such as gINT, LPILE, SLIDE, GeoStudio, SLOPE/W, Settle3, and related tools for analysis and design.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110, $120,000.00 per year
