About us:
Morris & Associates is an employee-owned US-based, global provider of custom process cooling solutions. The company began in 1949 with a focus on providing process cooling solutions to the rapidly expanding poultry processing industry. Since then, we have expanded to provide process cooling solutions around the world for a variety of industries with Morris equipment currently found in 50 countries and 5 continents.
Innovation and an intense focus on building valuable partnerships with customers are key factors in our success as well as our reputation as a "go-to" source for the most challenging process cooling issues.
Another cornerstone of our success is our unique ability to lead complicated projects from the initial idea, through design/engineering and manufacturing, to installation as well as on-site service and support. We truly are a "one-stop-shop" in process cooling solutions.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a proven background in industrial construction supervision to lead complex projects from planning through commissioning. This role requires someone who understands industrial job site conditions, can coordinate field crews, and has hands-on experience working cross functionally in environments such as manufacturing plants, utilities, heavy industrial, food processing, or energy facilities. The ideal candidate has direct supervisory experience in industrial construction, not just office-based project oversight—and can translate field constraints into execution plans that achieve safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and coordination of projects from initiation through close-out.
- Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables with guidance from senior team members and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of project schedules, resource plans, and task lists.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and external stakeholders, providing timely updates and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in the development of engineered solutions under the direction of more senior staff.
- Monitor day-to-day project activities and report progress, issues, and risks to project leadership.
- Help track project budgets and expenses, providing regular updates to senior project managers.
- Assist in preparing project documentation, status updates, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Promote a collaborative team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in project coordination or project management, preferably within an industrial or technical environment.
- 1-3 years of industrial construction management.
- PMP or CAPM certification is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience working in manufacturing plants, industrial facilities, or heavy construction environments.
- Comfortable managing priorities in a fast-paced environment with support from senior managers.
- Basic proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
