Server/Bartender (18 - 25/hr)

Doherty's Irish Pub & Restaurant of Apex is looking for enthusiastic server/bartenders to join our team with the potential of advancement. Earn $18 - $25/hr

Maintaining a positive work environment for our staff and guests is a top

guests.

As a server and bartender you will be the main point of contact between our guests and
restaurant, so excellent customer service knowledge and impeccable
communication skills are a must. Your goal as a member of our staff is to increase guest
retention and loyalty by providing fast, reliable, and friendly service to all which will
ensure more money in your pocket

Responsibilities

• Obtain an extensive knowledge base of our operations as well as food & beverage menus through completing training.
• Take and deliver accurate orders, suggest dishes, and answer questions, while providing an exceptional guest experience.
• Removing dirty dishes from tables to avoid clutter while guests are eating, cleaning tables after guests have finished their meals, and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant to meet guest expectations and adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Checking guests' identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age.
• Preparing checks and processing payments.
• Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and accurate delivery of orders.
• Restocking and replenishing restaurant inventory and supplies during shifts and through the completion of side work after each shift.
• Assisting with answering phones, welcoming and seating guests
• Assisting with takeout orders, including taking accurate orders over the phone, bagging orders, and checking for accuracy, and bringing takeout orders to our pick-up station or curbside.

Skills & Qualifications

• Multitask & stay organized with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional line of communication with your coworkers and guests.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills with the ability of conflict resolution.
• Ability to learn and utilize software systems such as Toast POS, 7Shifts, & OpenTable
