Senior Accountant

Three month assignment with possibility of conversion

Key Responsibilities

• Lead key areas of the
  month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  , including preparing and reviewing complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with
  Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  and internal accounting policies.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support to ensure a seamless audit process.
• Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances (budget vs. actuals), and opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management on various ad-hoc projects and reporting needs.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education:
  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Experience:
  Minimum of 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a large company environment.
• Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas) are essential.
• Proficiency with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus.
