OnlyOne Consulting is conducting a confidential search on behalf of our client, a leading social justice organization in Chicago.
Our client is seeking an experienced Administrative Operations Manager to join their dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a mission-driven professional to contribute to meaningful community transformation and social change work.
About the Role:
You will be the operational backbone of a growing nonprofit, ensuring smooth daily operations while supporting strategic development and partner engagement initiatives. This position uniquely combines administrative excellence with fundraising support and strategic communications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-level administrative support to executive leadership
• Coordinate partner organizations' activities and event logistics
• Manage grant writing, tracking, and donor database maintenance
• Support fundraising initiatives including event planning and coordination
• Oversee organizational systems, databases, and information management
• Create impact reports, annual reports, and presentation materials
• Manage social media presence and support narrative strategies
• Handle calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements
• Support team culture and HR administrative functions
What We're Looking For:
• 5+ years of experience in executive administration, nonprofit operations, or development
• Strong commitment to racial, economic, and social justice
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Proven grant writing or development experience preferred
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, database management, and project management tools
• Experience with fundraising platforms (i.e. EveryAction or NationBuilder a plus)
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Understanding of nonprofit management and community organizing principles
• Experience with 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) structures
• Familiarity with Chicago's social justice ecosystem
• Event management and digital organizing experience
• Basic financial management skills
• Knowledge of information security best practices
