Senior IT Project Manager

Rocklin (CA) / San Jose / San Francisco (Hybrid)

$112,000–$130,000

Cognizant is hiring a Senior IT Project Manager to lead large-scale logistics and warehouse technology initiatives across Distribution Centers, Final Mile, Transportation, and Returns. You will own end-to-end delivery of Manhattan WMOS, supply chain systems, and technical integrations that improve operational efficiency across major logistics programmes.

What You'll Do

• Lead logistics and supply chain technology projects using Agile or SDLC methodologies with tools such as Jira and Rally.
• Deliver Warehouse Management and Supply Chain solutions (Manhattan WMOS) across DC rollouts, Final Mile, Transportation, and Returns.
• Work closely with vendors and internal teams to manage timelines, deliverables, and technical alignment.
• Support grooming and solution design for Manhattan WMOS and IBM Sterling.
• Manage upstream and downstream system integrations (Sterling OMS/IMS, RMS, ProShip, 3PLs).
• Oversee development and QA of microservices and monitoring/reporting platforms (AppDynamics, Snowflake, Power BI).
• Own project budgets, forecasting, ROI tracking, and vendor oversight.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to leadership and stakeholders.
• Run multiple projects concurrently while ensuring quality and timely escalation.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of Project or Program Management experience.
• Strong understanding of logistics IT architecture and technical delivery.
• Skilled in Agile/SDLC, project planning, stakeholder communication, and vendor management.
• Ability to manage delivery across cross-functional engineering and business teams.

Nice to Have

• Retail or logistics execution experience.
• Understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan or similar).
• Strong technical grounding in logistics architecture and system design.
